Yvan Morvan is a fiercely independent photographer, a free observer of the society that gives us surroundings. Combining technical mastery, a sense of colour, and framing, his art is more of a hyper-realistic portrait than of traditional reportage. By drawing up an inventory of sexual practices at the end of the century, by focusing on the fantasies of our contemporaries, he gives us, with the help of his friend and journalist Jean-Marc Barbieux, a unique document on what he rightly considers to be one of the last adventures of the modern world.
