Showcasing dutch counter-culture and idiosyncratic national pastimes, it gained incredible reviews a year after its publication in 2000. The Haarlems Dagblad compared the book with Robert Frank's The Americans, 'only 40 years later and Dutch style'. 'Here in Holland' has since become the standard of which to measure work in the Dutch photo world.
