The second in a series of retrospective works published in 1991 focused on Tom's pencil work, much of which had not been published before. Starting in the 40s the book documents 40 years of work over nearly 200 pages in one of the stand-out publications about the legendary provocateur. Touko Valio Laaksonen, known by the pseudonym Tom of Finland, was a Finnish artist who made stylized highly masculinized homoerotic art and influenced late 20th-century gay culture. He has been called the "most influential creator of gay pornographic images".
